So another year is coming to a close, and we thought we'd share a quick look back at 2011 and what's upcoming in 2012. Happy New Year.
First, a somber note. Some incredible people left us in 2011, they will surely be missed.
2011 was supposed to be the year of the IPO, but Zynga and Pandora fell right out of the gate. Folks are pointing to a 2012 boom with Facebook and Yelp! filing, but with economic uncertainty in Europe, and the not-so-hot performances from 2011, most analysts are hesitant to suggest a rosy outlook.
We always thought we were pretty trendy here at Merge. Apparently orange is the new black for 2012.
2011 delivered an influx of quality subscription music services like Mog, Rdio and Spotify. Look for more innovation from the music industry in 2012.
